Proposed variation of Reading Borough Council’s hackney carriage fares
Any objections to the variation of fares as set out in the table below may be made on or before 3 August 2022. You can object by:

Licensed taxi cabs – tables of fares
Tariff 1 – for hirings between 6am and 10pm each day

Tariff 2 – for hirings between 10pm and 6am each day

| 20p | For each additional 142 yards (129.85 metres) or 42 seconds or part thereof, for the next 2½ miles |
| 20p | For each additional 135 yards (123.44 metres ) or 42 seconds or part thereof, for the remaining distance |
| 1. Additional passengers – 20p per each additional person (ie excluding the hirer) | £1 max (manually added to final fare) |
| 2. For any hiring beginning or ending within the following periods. 6pm to midnight on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve, all of Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year’s Day, and any other public holiday | Please note: a surcharge of 50% of the usual fare is automatically calculated and shown on the meter |
