Sharps Awareness – Train the Trainer

This course is suitable for staff members who train other team members who may come into contact with Sharps.

This course will provide detail on:

• Health issues and risks associated with drug use and debris in the workplace
• Relevant Corporate Codes of Practice, Local Safety Practice, Safe System of Work and Risk Assessment
• Signs of drug activity in area of work and how to take appropriate action
• The appropriate action to take in event of a needle-stick injury

Please note: You are required to have completed the Health and Safety level 2 training before attending this course.  This training is delivered by the Corporate Health and Safety Team.
