Climbing wall

On site we have an outdoor climbing wall known as The Coconut Tree. This is mainly used for the Reading Play Services educational outreach support.

The activity is instructor led and full safety briefings will be conducted. To use the climbing wall and safely fit into the harness you must weigh between 40lbs and 250lbs.  

The Coconut Tree will be open for certain sessions between April and September 2024. These are managed by the onsite team and cost £5 per climber. Please see the Reading Play Facebook page for updates or contact one of the team at ranger.station@reading.gov.uk.

Customers to arrive 5 minutes before session for the safety briefing and harness fitting.

Please note, a separate booking will need to be made for each participant of this activity. Consent is required per booking.

Group hire

You can now book a one hour session for up to 9 participants. A group hire session costs £40. This session will for the exclusive use of the group with no other members of the public. To enquire about booking email ranger.station@reading.gov.uk with the date and time you want. We will manage the booking based on availability. Payments for this booking can be done on site with debit or credit card.

All participants must weigh between 40lbs and 250lbs and will need to safely fit into the harness. Upon booking the lead booker will give consent for all participants.
