Reading Golf Club - Outline planning application withdrawn

The outline planning application for a residential development on land at Reading Golf Club, reference 200713 is withdrawn by the applicant. This notification was made to the Council on 25 November.

The Planning Department has asked that no further representations are submitted against application 200713.

The applicant’s agent, Jonathan Walton has said:

“I have spoken at length with Fairfax and the rest of the team and, in light of the comments provided to date, the fact that some comments are still to be provided and the relatively short length of time left available to resolve matters prior to January committee, we agree that it makes good sense to withdraw the current planning application to allow time to work proactively with the Council regarding outstanding matters”.

Officers can advise that if new plans are submitted in the New Year for an alternative proposal this will be allocated a new planning application reference number.  Public consultations will be happen and comments submitted will need to refer to the new planning application reference number.
