What does the council do
It’s our responsibility to undertake everyday tasks as well as make the big decisions that shape our community and drives Reading forwards. Although we’re known for our most visible services of roadworks, street cleaning, organising bin collections – there are actually over 80 job types at the council, each specialising in different areas.
